  • Flu Immunisation- 7th Dec

    Published 12/11/21

    Dear Parent/Guardian,

Your child’s annual flu vaccination is now due

This vaccination programme is in place to help protect your child against flu. Flu can be an unpleasant illness and sometimes causes serious complications.  Vaccinating your child will also help protect more vulnerable friends and family by preventing the spread of flu.

A consent  form was given out on Thursday 11th November. (one for each child) and return to the school at least 3 working days prior to the date of your school flu vaccination session to ensure your child receives their vaccination. Please be aware that if the form is not completed correctly, this may result in your child not receiving the vaccination on the day.

The vaccination is free and recommended for young children, and will be given by a quick and simple spray up the nose.

A leaflet explaining the vaccination programme is enclosed and includes details about the small number of children for whom the nasal vaccine is not appropriate.

Last year, most children offered the vaccine in schools had the immunisation.

If you have any queries, please contact the immunisation team on 01895 485740.

Please return the form back to the school office by Friday 19th November. For more information on the vaccination, please see information leaflet below.

    Yours sincerely,

    Immunisation Team

If your child becomes wheezy or has their asthma medication increased after you return this form, please contact the healthcare team on 01895 485740.

If you decide you do not want to vaccinate your child against flu, please return the consent form giving the reason. This will help us plan and improve the service.

  • Anti Bulling Week 15th-19th Nov

    Published 08/11/21

    Dear Parents and Carers,

Anti-Bullying week is taking place on Monday 15th to Friday 19th November.

It is an annual event to spread awareness about bullying and we will be working on this throughout the whole school.

The theme this year is 'One Kind Word'.

On Monday 15th November 2021, we ask that all children come to school wearing odd socks. This is to appreciate that we are all unique and different.

Your child should also bring a £1 donation for the Anti-Bullying Alliance so that they can continue their work towards eradicating bullying.

    Kind regards,

    Mrs Obinwanne/Ms Harvey

  • Breakfast and After School Club Update 12/10/21

    Published 12/10/21

Thank you for your patience in regards to after school club and breakfast club.

Breakfast club will continue on each site and start from 8am until 8.30am and will cost £1.
This will be for all children from Nursery to Year 6. Please see the front office if you would like to book a place.

We will be moving to a new after school club provider, called Sport and Health Academy. They will be providing on site care which will include a range of sports, arts and crafts, PSHE and drama. The club will run from 3.15pm to 5.30pm and will cost £11 daily or £45 for the week. The children will also receive food which will be dependent on their likes and dislikes.  It is available for Reception to Year 6.  I do appreciate that this will be inconvenient some parents with children in the nursery, however, the provider is only willing to accept children from Reception to Year 6.

At the moment, we are in the process of handing over and we will continue to run the club on site until after half-term when the new provider will hopefully take over. Over the next two weeks, we will keep you updated on how to apply and the current status of the handover.

    Thank you for your understanding.
